Healthy Holiday Gingerbread Smoothie

There’s no other flavour and scent that says the holidays to me more than gingerbread!

I love the smell of gingerbread baking while my girls and I patiently wait with the excited anticipation of decorating the cookies and creating a magical gingerbread world.

I love enjoying my favourite chewy ginger molasses cookies with a cup of tea on a lazy holiday afternoon as the snow falls outside.

So when I discovered this healthy holiday gingerbread smoothie, I just had to give it a try!

It blends all the delicious spices and a touch of sweetness together to satisfy the gingerbread flavour I love so much, plus it is packed with amazing nutrients - collagen, fiber, omega 3 fatty acids, anti-inflammatory spices, antioxidants, potassium, and probiotics.


Healthy Holiday Gingerbread Smoothie

1/2 of a fresh or frozen banana

2 medjool dates, pitted

1/4 cup of plain greek yogurt

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger or 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 scoop of collagen powder

1 teaspoon of molasses or maple syrup

1 cup of almond milk (or milk of choice)

Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and enjoy!
