My Story

I have always had a passion for health and wellness, but I did not always receive my information from the most reliable sources.  In a world where so many of us are looking for the magic solution to keep us young, thin, and healthy it’s hard to break through the noise and separate truth from myth.  I spent many years of my young adult life listening to the noise.  Where did that leave me?  Unfortunately, feeling very unhealthy and experiencing symptoms of dis-ease such as adult acne, weight gain, digestive issues and fatigue.

After many years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to change paths and pursue a career in Holistic Nutrition.  The Holistic Nutrition philosophy resonated with me, and my studies at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition gave me the knowledge to help break through the noise for good.

I am amazed by the complexity of the human body and the way it speaks to us when it is out of balance.   I am also in awe of how interconnected the mind, body and spirit are and how important it is to recognize and honour this dynamic trilogy.

I want to create an inclusive space where everyone is welcome.  Whether working with me one on one through my Nutritional Coaching program or gaining valuable information through my blog, my hope is that you find inspiration that will ultimately lead to a life free from dis-ease and to your path of optimal health.

What is a Holistic Nutritionist?

Holistic Nutrition is a health care practice that believes one’s health is connected to the relationship between the physical and chemical, mental and emotional, and spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life.  A Holistic Nutritionist works closely with an individual, considering their unique needs every step of the way, to help uncover the root cause of their symptoms, concerns and health conditions.   A Holistic Nutritionist is trained in traditional medicine but is also educated in the latest science backed research with regards to the healing potential of food.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is simple.

  • I recognize that everyone has a unique physiology and that a one size fits all approach to wellness is not the right solution to achieve your optimal health.

  • I know that eating well does not need to be complicated; sometimes you just need a bit of inspiration and to get back to basics.

  • I believe we need balance in our lives – so go ahead and treat yourself from time to time!
